It was speculated at the time, but it has now been revealed that Bradley Cooper’s involvement in A Star Is Born was the final nail in the coffin for his relationship with model Irina Shayk.
A source has divulged to People that The Hangover star and the Russian model’s relationship simply changed.
“Bradley was emotionally absent during the long time filming A Star Is Born,” revealed the insider. “They tried to save the relationship but it had changed.”
“Since Bradley and Irina have always been very private about their relationship few knew there was really for sure something going on,” the source adds.
Clues about the couple’s problems became evident when people started whispering about his close relationship with A Star Is Born co-star Lady Gaga.
And in his acceptance speech for Best Original Music at the BAFTA’s earlier this year Cooper thanked Irina, 33 for “putting up with me”.
“Most of all I have to thank Irina, for putting up with me for all the music I was trying to make in our basement for a year,” he said. “Thank you very much. Thank you,” the 44-year-old continued.
It was confirmed earlier this week that the couple – who had been together four years and share two-year-old daughter Lea De Seine – had officially split.
