Police have confirmed that they’ve called off the search missing Sydney teen Brody Hurst after they found his body.
A search was launched on Thursday afternoon after Brody was last seen at a shop in the Northern Beaches suburb of Newport at about 5.30pm.
His family advised this was out of character.
Police conducted a large scale ground and air search upon realising his phone was switched off.
Authorities located his body at Bilgola on Friday morning.
His mother Christeena had asked for the public’s help, in a plea to find him.
“Brody left his bright green pushbike at the northern end of (Newport) beach on the walking track near the sand yesterday, early evening and hasn’t come home.”
“This is very out of character. Please help us find him.”
At this stage, the police are investigating the details surround his death but aren’t treating it as suspicious.
