Carrie Bickmore loses 2 grandparents within a week

Our condolences to the beloved mum.

Carrie Bickmore has shared the very sad news that she’s lost not one but two grandparents in a matter of days.

The Project host spoke of her tremendous loss in a poignant Instagram post.

“Farewelling second grandparent in a week,” she wrote alongside a photo of flowers, who Carrie shared was made up by her sister.
“😢 My poppa was 90 and my nana on the other side was 97. Incredible innings. Feeling emotional but also so grateful to have had all my grandparents into my 30’s.”
She went on, “They have taught us so much and loved us unconditionally. ❤️ Here’s to grandparents everywhere.”

Friends and fans were quick to offer their support. Julia Morris said, “So so sorry to hear that Carrie. Sending my deepest sympathy to you & the family jx”

Chezzi Denyer also offered some kind words.

“It’s so sad and emotional saying goodbye to loved ones, especially when they’ve been important to us for all our lives. Sending love and telepathic hugs ❤️❤️”

The TV star recently returned to work less than three months after welcoming her daughter Adelaide.

And it didn’t quite go to plan.

The mum-of-three shared, “Week 1 back on radio certainly packed a punch!” 

“The household had gastro, colds and nits. Welcome back to work mummy!!!

“What will week 2 bring?!”
