They just confirmed they’re pregnant, but Teen Mom’s Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are still separating.
The couple have been together since middle school, but have been open about their relationship struggles.
During the most recent episode of Teen Mom, we see the pair spend a weekend at a couple’s retreat in Sedona, Arizona.
Finding out they’re pregnant was bittersweet, with Tyler still wanting time apart.
“Getting pregnant was unexpected since we still have a lot of work to do on our relationship,” Catelynn said in a voice over, before opening up about living separately.
“I was devastated at first, but now that I’ve started my own therapy, I’m more comfortable with the idea.”
“Basically all I want to share with the cameras is that me and you learned that we’ve been together for so long that it’s like ‘Who are you as a person by yourself?’” Catelynn explained.
“Am I jumping of joy for it? No.”
“I don’t think any of us are. You took it kind of hard,” Tyler added. “The intention is not to bring up your anxiety or to make you feel any of your core wounds.”
The couple placed their first daughter, Carly, up for adoption in 2009 before welcoming Nova in 2015.
