The 10-year-old recently made her big screen acting debut in his new Marvel film, Thor: Love and Thunder, marking a special moment for the A-list dad.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, he marked his daughter’s milestone with two photos from the sets of two very different Thor movies.
One showed him in full costume filming the first Thor movie while India, who was just a baby at the time, gazed up at him from the floor.
The second picture was snapped in black and white and captured the father and daughter sharing a cuddle behind the scenes on the latest Marvel flick.
“Here’s two pics of me and my daughter,” Chris wrote alongside the photos in an emotional caption.
“One was the first time she was on set 11 years ago, the other is the most recent on Thor: Love and Thunder. She’s my favourite superhero.”
The photos show a clear and beautiful bond between Chris and his only daughter with wife Elsa Pataky, the couple also sharing twin sons Sasha and Tristan.
Fans were smitten with the post, as Chris and Elsa rarely share photos of their kids online and typically keep their faces hidden when they do.
“This is the sweetest picture ever,” one wrote, another commenting: “So adorable. I loved seeing her in the film, it made the ending 100x better.”
Several also pointed out how much India resembles her dad in the second photo, remarking that even their facial expressions are almost identical.
Though the youngster definitely inherited some of her mum’s beautiful genes too, fans have long considered India Chris’ mini-me.
Photos of her as a toddler all the way through to her latest appearances just prove how much she looks like her dad, from her blue eyes with dark lashes to the same cheeky grin.
She’s also picked up his acting talent if her new role in Thor: Love And Thunder is anything to go by, with Chris revealing it was actually India’s idea to appear in the film.
Not only that, he helped her film her audition tape for director Taika Waititi!
His sons also had cameos, but Chris told Good Day DC: “I don’t want them to now go and be child stars and actors.
“It was just a special experience we all had and they loved it. They had a great time.”

Meanwhile co-star Christian Bale told Marvel.com.au that Chris was an incredible attentive dad on set, accompanying India to every scene, even if he wasn’t needed.
“Chris was a wonderfully attentive dad, just off-camera all the time, just checking she was all right, giving me thumbs up, me giving him thumbs up, checking,” he said.
“It was really endearing seeing the two of them. He sort of let her be, and she did it herself.”
