In recent years there has been huge backlash over circus’ cruelly exploiting animals, but Circus Roncalli, founded in Germany in 1976 has come up with an incredible way to still give spectators the true circus experience, without harming a single animal.

Since 2018 Circus Roncalli has featured no live animals, instead using holographic projections 360° visibility for the entire audience.

“We have been using Optoma projectors for six years and have consistently had a very positive experience in price, performance, and reliability,” Birger Wunderlich at Bluebox, the company collaborating with Roncalli’s agency, TAG/TRAUM explained.

Audiences can expect to be mesmerised by incredible life-like 3D holograms of wild animals, including elephants, galloping horses and giant-sized goldfish.

The move comes in a bid to stamp out animal cruelty within the industry.
