On October 24, Constance Hall announced she was expecting her first baby with her fiancée Denim Cooke, however, the popular blogger has been inundated with a flood of harsh comments on social media.
“Should’ve kept her knickers on,” one wrote.
While another commented: “I hope she dies in childbirth.”
At the time of her original pregnancy announcement, the 33-year-old shared the happy family news by captioning a photo of the couple, “We are not ready for this and I am petrified, babies terrify me.”
It continued, “But are we happy? Pigs in s***. Well…. I’m hormonal, I considered having an abortion this morning because Densy slept in.”
Hall has since replied to the backlash. “A lot of people are angry that I joked about abortion,” she started her post. “Actually, I was dead set serious.”
The outspoken blogger admitted she did consider an abortion and she phoned her sister to discuss her options.
“I am pro choice, I always have been and I believe in normalising abortions, they shouldn’t be a dirty secret that we don’t discuss in public forums.
“That said, I consider abortions and miscarriage/fertility issues two very separate topics. And I would never joke about the latter.”
Hall ended her post by apologising to those who had been offended by her comments.
“So I am sorry for offending those that were offended. It wasn’t intended to offend.”
