Bachelor In Paradise’s Daniel Maguire has opened up about the passing of his father, who was left a quadriplegic after a tragic accident in 2008.
The controversial reality show contestant told WHO that saw the death of his father Terry coming, almost a decade after the mountain bike accident which left him wheelchair bound.
“He died a few weeks ago. He was a quadriplegic for nine and a half years,” Daniel revealed.
“I looked after him for five summers over the past ten years in our hometown of 40,000 people.”
Despite the tragedy, Daniel says what happened to his father makes him appreciate life even more.
“It has made me be a bigger person with thicker skin, and you appreciate the little things in life that people complain about all the time.”
