Television personality and former Australian Women’s Weekly editor Deborah Hutton has shared a shocking photo of scaring on her face after surgery to remove two skin cancers.

The Find Me A Beach House host took to Instagram to share her post-surgery photo, revealing she “ummed and aahed” about posting the graphic snap.
“After having the stitches out from another major surgery to remove 2 skin cancers, and being extreme grateful they’ve got it all, I feel it’s only right to remind you to get your SKIN CHECKED!“ Deborah wrote.
Deborah revealed that the two cancers on her face were undetectable to the naked eye, “only my dermatologist flagged it months earlier.”
The graphic shot is a poignant reminder to all Australians to have their skin checked, even if nothing is evident on the surface.
As for post-surgery scarring, Deborah revealed: “My skin will heal and in the coming months you’ll hardly see the scar. I’ve been here before 9 years ago. Skin heals beautifully but only if you give it the chance before it’s too late.”
The 58-year-old went on to thank the surgeon and nurses who operated on and looked after her.
The candid post also garnered responses of support from fellow celebrities including Tina Arena who commented: “Get better soon bella.”
While Rebecca Gibney wrote, “Bless your heart . Thank you beautiful woman,” as well as Richard Wilkins: “Important and brave message ! Much love to you xxx”
The post hit home for TV personality Shaynna Blaze who commended Deborah on her bravery.
“My father went through this & all you could see as a detector was a small patch of dry skin the size of a pimple. Very easy to brush off as nothing. I’m sure this will make a lot of people to take note. You are beautiful inside and out as always,” Shaynna penned.
This isn’t the first or even the second time the Skin Cancer Australia ambassador has gone under the knife to have a cancer removed.
Deborah has revealed in 2016 she had her first instance of skin cancer almost two decade prior, and in 2011 had a second basal cell carcinoma removed from her upper lip.
