Perhaps you haven’t heard, but Demi Lovato is probably the number one fan of her own physique. And why shouldn’t she be? After all, the singer works hard for what she’s got, putting in the dedicated time at the gym and showing herself some self-love via inspirational messages and body positive images in her off hours. So it seems only natural that to celebrate the launch of her new single, appropriately titled “Body Say,” Lovato stripped down for a series of nude shots.
On Thursday night, the singer posted a string of black and white images of herself unclothed and lying in bed to announce her new single. Each photo was captioned with a lyric from the song along with the hashtag #BodySay, which altogether read, “If I had it my way I would take you down / If I had it my way I would turn you out / And if my body had a say I would come again / Scared of what I might say cause I’m at the edge.” Appropriately racy lyrics for an equally racy, undressed photo shoot.
The images foretell an equally smoldering, emotionally (and physically bare) music video coming our way in the near future that’s sure to instantly put everyone in a sultry mood, or at least inspire them to strip down to their underpinnings. Well, that’s certainly one way to stay “Cool for the Summer.”
