Six youths between the ages of 11 and 15 have been arrested over a fire that has destroyed the Big Brother house on the Gold Coast.

The blaze broke out at a property at Coomera broke out around 2.15pm on Saturday.
Six children were arrested after being spotted running from the site.

The Gold Coast Bulletin reports that five police vehicles and six firefighter crews were on the scene as the fire tore through the property.

The now abandoned property – which was the site of the hit show Big Brother for 11 seasons – has since decayed and been vandalised and is owned by Queensland Investment Corporation.
