In a series of now deleted comments on a celebrity gossip account, The Art of Shade, Demi Lovato has allegedly dissed Mariah Carey.
The Art of Shade post compared 22-year-old Ariana Grande to Mariah Carey. The post suggested that Ariana was a lesser version of Mariah. The post allegedly provoked Demi Lovato to comment “You got it the wrong way around honey.”
Demi, 23, reportedly then brought up Mariah’s long-term feud with Jennifer Lopez.
“Mariah is a legend and so talented but constantly disses people. It’s nasty the way she treats Jennifer,” Demi continued. “Ari did nothing wrong.”
The Mariah-J.Lo feud reportedly started in the 2000s after Mariah told some photographers that she didn’t know who J.Lo was. The feud was reignited when Mariah said to more photographers in March, “I still don’t know her!”
In an appearance on Watch What Happens Live last month, host Andy Cohen asked Mariah if she thought J.Lo was cool to which she responded, “I don’t know her. What am I supposed to say? I’m not going to put on a thing like we’re all Hollywood and let’s pretend we’re best friends.”
However, the 46-year-old also commented on the feud, saying, “That was so long ago,” adding “I can’t believe people still make such a big deal out of it.”
