Duchess Sophie of Württemberg copied Meghan Markle’s wedding dress

The German royal was clearly inspired.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery… Meghan Markle’s wedding dress has made an unexpected second appearance at another royal wedding.

German royal Duchess Sophie of Württemberg married French aristocrat Count Maximilien of Andigné at the Castle of Tegernsee in Bavaria, Germany earlier this week.

The 24-year-old looked magnificent as she walked down the aisle.

Duchess Sophie, who is from the former royal family of the Kingdom of Württemberg, had many thinking back to Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry – with both of their gowns striking many similarities.

While Meghan donned a bespoke Givenchy dress, Duchess Sophie’s wedding frock also had the iconic off-the-shoulder necklines, three-quarter length sleeves and lace-trimmed flowing trains.

They both accessorised with lace-trimmed veils and elegant tiaras.
