Ed Sheeran is not married, yet!
The 27-year-old singer sparked wedding rumours after being spotted wearing a gold band on that finger, with fans convinced that he had secretly married fiancé Cherry Seaborn.
However, the Supermarket Flowers singer has set the record straight, explaining that it is an engagement ring that Seaborn made herself.
“No, I’m not married,” he told Lorraine‘s Dan Wooten. “I never saw why men didn’t wear engagement rings. It’s the same commitment either way. Cherry made it for me herself out of silver clay. I really like it. I haven’t told anyone that, either.”
Sheeran announced his engagement to his high school love in January.
“Got myself a fiancé just before new year,” he wrote on Instagram. “We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx”
The ‘Perfect’ singer will head to Australia next month for his biggest ever tour down under.
