WHO: Was it a difficult decision to leave Paradise?

EDEN: It wasn’t really a difficult decision to make, there just wasn’t really a reason for me to still be in paradise and I was kind of excited to get back into the real world and explore options elsewhere.

WHO: Have you started dating anyone now that you’re in the real world?

EDEN: I’ve been on a few dates but nothing really to report as yet.

WHO: So still single then?

EDEN: [Laughs] Yep, still single.

WHO: Were you upset that Elora wasn’t interested in you after the whole letter situation?

EDEN: To be honest, Elora and I are really good friends after the whole letter situation and I kind of had the feeling that she had eyes for someone else and she wasn’t really into me after the date. So that sort of led to me moving to leaving Paradise. So there really wasn’t any other reason for me to be there because I wasn’t really interested in any of the other girls that were there.

WHO: Do you regret writing the letter?

EDEN: Obviously I regret the hurt that it brought to Elora. I regret writing something that at the time I thought was in a good fun, like a prank, but there’s a lot of things that go into that. She’s the type of person that takes things to heart and the timing was bad as well, that Apollo has said he wasn’t really into her. It was just a collaboration of a whole bunch of different things. Where something that I thought would help open communication with American Jared sort of blew up in my face.

So I do regret hurting her, but it wasn’t intentional. It just sort of got blown out of proportion and it was really bad timing so we were able to sort of talk about that and move past it. So hopefully the rest of Australia can too [laughs].

WHO: Just one more thing about the letter. Is it true that Sam and Tara had a part in writing it, and you took the blame?

EDEN: I’m going to plead the fifth on this one. I know what happened but I’m just going to take the bullet for my own actions and my own involvement. I did that by myself.

WHO: You and Nina had a strong connection at the start of Paradise…

EDEN: Yeah, definitely. We spent a lot of time together and we got know each other on a deeper level. It definitely was hard for me to send her home when I did.

WHO: Have you been in contact since?

EDEN: We saw each other when we did an After Paradise interview, it was very awkward. We both didn’t know we were going to be there. But I do care about her, regardless of whether we’re together or not. I just hope that she can get past whatever personal things she has against me.

WHO: Do you think if she does get past that you could see yourselves reconnecting?

EDEN: That’s a difficult question just for the fact that after watching it and seeing background stuff that she said about me, it’s kind of difficult.

WHO: What was it that she said… “If you’re not going to put out, he’s sending you home”?

EDEN: Yeah that was one of the statements. But it never was about putting out, it was just about feeling like someone wants to be with you. And affection doesn’t have to be kissing, affection can be holding hands. But people blew it out of proportion like I was wanting all these physical things from her.

WHO: Would you change anything about your Bachelor In Paradise experience?

EDEN: I probably wouldn’t just because of the person that I’ve evolved to become and it’s only through making mistakes that you can learn from them. I may not have had the perfect run, but I’m grateful for all the opportunities and I’m proud of who I am and who I was. So you get to see a lot of different shades. You get to see the awesome dude that I am… amazing. But you also get to see that I’m human and I made mistakes. So I don’t regret anything.

WHO: Would you do any more reality shows or dating shows now?

EDEN: I’m not too sure. I feel like I need a rest from dating shows. I wouldn’t mind doing Survivor, something where I can use my hands, I’d be definitely keen for something like that.
