All everyone could talk about yesterday was Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff’s seriously awkward interview on Today Extra, where she denied all knowledge of a possible spin-off show starring herself and MAFS co-star Cyrell Paule.
And the outspoken reality star – who was married to Sam Ball – is back at it again.
This time the former dinner party queen spoke with Nick, Jess & Simon on Newcastle’s Hit106.9 to debunk another myth – and this one may surprise you.
Last month former MAFS Australia bride Clare Verrall slammed Nine producers in a scathing interview, accusing them of “bullying, manipulation and selective editing” and blasted executives for failing to provide adequate aftercare for contestants.
However, in her radio interview earlier this morning, Lizzie was quick to defend MAFS Australia producers.
“Had anyone warned you before you went on? Did Channel Nine sit down with you and say ‘So, this is what you can expect’?” host Jess quizzed the MAFS star.
“Can I tell you something that gets me quite frustrated and annoyed,” Lizzie – who never made it to the second commitment ceremony -shared.
“When people turn around and say that Channel Nine doesn’t offer any support, that’s a lie.”
Explaining that there are councillors and psychologists on hand to talk to the stars during filming, Lizzie went on: “Still to this day they contact you to see if you’re okay. So I really don’t like the negative stigma that there’s no help and Channel Nine just lets you go. That’s just not true.”
Her season of the reality tv show featured Dan, Mike, Bronson, Michael and of course husband Sam.
MAFS 2019 was such a huge win, of course, the network work will be back with a new batch of MAFS contestants for the new season.
