Australia watched on last year as Matty J and Laura Byrne fell in love on The Bachelor and now the couple has opened up about their engagement plans!
Speaking exclusively to WHO after a trip to South Africa Byrne admitted that she was focussing her energy on her jewellery business.
“When I came out of The Bachelor, I never really had any desire to keep working in TV. I wanted to go back to what I always did, which was to do my jewellery line. We’re opening a new shop the first week of March.
It will be a flagship store for us, and then we’ll also, be releasing the men’s range, and we’rereleasing an engagement range.”
When pressed if it was a hint, Laura confirmed: “Oh, the engagement ring range is not specifically for us. It’s for everyone.”
However, before she could finish her sentence, Matty J asked: “Where does one go to look for engagement rings when one’s girlfriend is an engagement-ring designer? Like, do I go to my friends to get the ring for me, or do I go to a competitor?
“You can get a stone and we’ll design it together!” Byrne replied.
Jokes aside, Matty J admitted that they’ve” definitely spoken about” marriage. ” For us, well, there’s no question for me, I’ve found the person I want to be with long-term, the one I hope to be with forever. But we want to
move in together first.
Fair point! C’mon Matty, hand over a key already.
