Game of Thrones actor Roy Dotrice has died

Roy Dotrice has passed away at age 94.

The actor, known for his role on Game of Thrones, died “in his London home surrounded by family, including his three daughters, grandchildren and great-grandson,” a statement to BBC said.

Dotrice played a brief role as Wisdom Hallyne the pyromancer in season 2 of GoT and read the audiobooks for George R.R. Martin’s ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’.

Dotrice holds the Guinness World Record for the most characters voiced by a single actor in an audiobook. He voiced 223 in the 33 hour long audiobook A Game of Thrones.

During his decades long acting career Dotrice appeared in multiple TV shows, movies and stage shows.  In 1984 he starred as Leopold Mozart in Amadeus which won eight Oscars.

Sons of Anarchy actor Ron Perlman shared a heartwarming message to his Beauty and the Beast TV series co-star.

“Love you dear Pop. Forever and ever. You were the best of us. My heart is broken… See you up top”.
