Less than a week before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot, fans can get in the mood with a fictionalised version of their romance, complete with hikes at dusk, kisses by the fireplace and even some bedroom action in the Lifetime movie Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance, airing in the US on May 13 (a local air date is yet to be confirmed).
“I don’t need my life to be this perfect royal picture,” Harry (Murray Fraser) sweetly tells Meghan (Parisa Fitz-Henley) in the made-for-TV movie’s teaser trailer. “I just need you.”
The movie will start with the couple’s first date, which was set up by a mutual friend, and continue through their engagement. Stills from the film have also featured scenes with Prince William (Australian actor Burgess Abernethy) and the Duchess of Cambridge (Laura Mitchell).
For the purists, the real deal Royals are set to walk down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel in front of around 600 guests on May 19. “This wedding, like all weddings, will be a moment of fun and joy that will reflect the characters and values of the bride and groom,” their office at Kensington Palace said in a press release.
