She broke down in floods of tears after ‘husband’ David Cannon lay into her during their first commitment ceremony on Sunday’s Married At First Sight. But fans had little sympathy for Hayley Vernon’s hysterics – even likening her meltdown to Kim Kardashian’s iconic ‘ugly crying’ face.

One fan wrote: ‘Hayley looks familiar,’ sharing a GIF of Kim sobbing uncontrollably after she lost her diamond earring in the ocean on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
‘Okay, so Hayley takes on Kim Kardashian for ugliest cry face ever,’ another added.
Another accused her of crocodile tears, writing that Hayley ‘needs to not fake cry she looks worse than Kim K who real ugly cries.’
The tweets come after viewers watched David rip into Hayley during last night’s show, calling his ‘wife’ a ‘recovering drug addict.’
Hayley hasn’t been shy about her history of drug abuse, and has made it clear she’s unashamed of her past. But it’s no surprise that David’s words cut deep – and left the financial analyst in tears.
“I’m not my past,” she retorted, choking back tears, “and you’re saying it’s a bad thing you’ve been matched with me because of that.
“This situation has brought out the worst in me because it’s such high pressure, but for you to say ‘I’ve been matched with a recovering drug addict’? I’m a recovered drug addict,” she continued, obviously deeply hurt.
“I’m not that person anymore. I’ve done so much bloody work on myself to get to where I am today.”
