Six teams are competing in Season 7 of House Rules: Meet Mikaela and Eliza.
With zero renovation experience, professional surfing sisters Eliza, 21, and Mikaela, 24, are hoping it’s not a wipe out for them.
WHO caught up with the siblings.
Sisters and professional surfers Eliza, 21, and Mikaela, 24, might be at the top of their game in their chosen career, but they are at the bottom of the pack when it comes to renovation experience, having never done any previously.
Their reason for competing is simple – they’re doing it for their mother, who lives in the family home (which the other teams will transform) in the Margaret River region, following her divorce from her daughters’ father.
“We are on this show for Mum,” Eliza says.
Mikaela adds: “Mum has worked tirelessly our entire lives to give us everything we could possibly want. She’s sacrificed so much for our surfing.”
