It’s back for a seventh season, but House Rules has been rocked by a shocking cheating scandal.

Insiders have cast doubts on just how much renovating the teams really do after neighbours of Adelaide couple Lisa and Andy said some teams continued to work despite the renovation siren being sounded, signalling that contestants are meant to put down their tools.
‘Contestants were still running in with homewares and decorations 20 minutes after we heard the buzzer go off on set. It’s disappointing to witness,’ a source told a local publication.
‘Pretty much straight after that, the contestants had to leave the site to record their [post-reno interviews], but I saw countless tradies still working and adding fixtures.’
An on-set source has also claimed contestants were left furious after not being given enough time to complete their work.
‘The homeowners are concerned over the lack of “real renovations”,’ said an insider.
‘There’s barely been a single wall knocked down. The contestants feel they’ve wasted their time coming on the show.’
