House Rules’ loveable duo Tim and Mat have been hiding a heartbreaking secret behind their chirpy smiles and fun-loving persona’s.

The brothers have bravely spoken out about they have both suffered panic attacks in the lead up to this week’s renovation reveals.
“Mat had a panic attack then I had a panic attack,” Tim, 32, confessed to New Idea.
“It was hard being away from partners and family. It has been very hard. Every now and then I get a video or a photo and you’ve got to try to keep it together.
“It’s very hard being away from my daughter, because she’s so young,” the father-of-one continued.
And 27-year-old Mat has also struggled with being separated from his girlfriend for such a long period of time.
“Not seeing my partner for six months was weighing on my mind,” he said.
“But she was the one that said this would be good for me and I’ll be helping my brother out.”
