House Rules’ Tim Clark stripped back his tough tradie exterior showed off a much softer side during a new interview, in which the 32-year-old builder opens up about how fatherhood changed his life.
Tim – who is paired with brother Mat on the home reno show – openly admits that he wasn’t particularly clucky, but having his own child brought about a change.
‘I was that typical bloke. But when you have your own, you understand. It’s amazing and they bring so much joy. I can’t explain it,’ he spilled to a local publication.
In fact, one of the hardest parts about competing on this season’s House Rules hasn’t been the building challenges, but being away from his wife, Kate and one-year-old daughter, Isabella.
‘You just want to break down and cry because you miss your family,’ he confessed.
‘You miss your daughter, you miss your wife, but you’ve really got to try and stay focused on why you’re there.’
