She made her debut on last night’s premiere of Married At First Sight 2020 as a fit, toned, buxom blonde. But Cathy Evans didn’t always look like this.

The 26-year-old logistics investigator is reported to have splurged a whopping $20,000 on various cosmetic procedures, including a boob job, Botox and lip fillers over the past year.

The MAFS star is also a self-confessed fitness fanatic who fell in love with body building after gaining weight at university due to her party lifestyle.

“Cathy used to be wild when she was younger and then one day realised how unhealthy her lifestyle was and changed everything,” a friend told Daily Mail Australia.

“She quit smoking, stopped binging on junk food, went sober for a while and fell in love with training and becoming physically stronger.”

Cathy transformed her figure through body building.

Before appearing on Married At First Sight, Cathy admits to “smashing back over 10,000 calories a day”.

And in a 2016 YouTube video, the MAFS reveals she gained 20 kilos before moving from New Zealand to Australia the year before.

“It was just gross, I was really uncomfortable, really unhappy with the way I looked,” she said.

Speaking about how she shifted the weight, Cathy continued: “I haven’t done any cardio, it is just heavy training and nutrition that helps me and I’m very happy with that.”

The reality star also opened up about her body transformation in an Instagram post from 2015.

“I started drinking and partying when I was 16. It got real heavy when I was 17 and by 18 and at uni it was Wednesday through to Saturday night drinking,” she wrote.

Cathy also opened up about quitting alcohol in a YouTube video.

“A lot of people think I’m crazy, and I don’t really give a f**k if I’m crazy,” she said.

“You don’t have to drink alcohol to have fun, right? I don’t go out often anyway… but when I do, people will be drinking and find it really strange that I don’t drink.

“So what? Let a person live. I’m really proud of myself.”
