With an estimated personal fortune of $441m the 43-year-old father of five and his wife Jools, 44 gave fans a glimpse into their lavish life just before the shock announcement.
The celebrity couple live in a grand mansion in North London’s affluent Hampstead Heath with their five children Poppy Honey Rosie, Daisy Boo Pamela, Petal Blossom Rainbow, Buddy Bear Maurice and River Rocket Blue Dallas.

The luxury estate is said to be worth approximately $16 million and boasts seven bedrooms, a spacious garden, playrooms for the children – complete with an indoor treehouse – a grand piano and king-sized beds.

Jamie took to Twitter earlier this week to announce the closure of his UK restaurant chain.
I’m devastated that our much-loved UK restaurants have gone into administration. I am deeply saddened by this outcome and would like to thank all of the people who have put their hearts and souls into this business over the years. Jamie Oliver
