Police are investigating NRL star Jarryd Hayne after an alleged sexual assault on Grand Final night.
The NSW Police have confirmed they received information from an unnamed woman that she was sexually assaulted by the 30-year-old following the NRL Grand Final on Sunday, September 30.
“She has come forward and reported to have suffered injuries during the sex with Hayne after they arranged to meet up online in the Hunter region,” Seven reporter Mylee Hogan told Sunrise today in the video above.
The football star was contracted to the Parramatta Eels at the time and they’ve released a statement.
“As this is a Police matter, the club will be making no public comment in relation to these reports,” an Eels spokesperson said
This is not the first allegation sexual assault for Jarryd.
He is currently fighting a civil case in the US brought forward by a woman claiming she was raped by Jarryd while he was playing for the San Fransisco 49ers.
According to Seven News, Jarryd is not currently contracted to an NRL side and speculation is rife this may effect him being drafted to a new team.
He is yet to comment.
