Show designer, Jasmine, who is pregnant with first child with the Today show host, has named a shoe from her latest Mara & Mine collection after her 14-year-old stepdaughter, Ava Willow Stefanovic.
According to Daily Mail Australia, the 35-year-old has designed a boot for her 2020 range and named it ‘Willow’, which retails for $625.
According to news site, it is thought that Ava now goes by her middle name, suggesting Jasmine had her stepdaughter in mind when designing the boot.
Despite reports of a rift between Jasmine and Karl’s children – he is also father to Jackson, 20, and River, 13 – it appears Jasmine is particularly close to Ava, with the pair attending the Australian Open together alongside Karl, 45, last week.
Earlier this month, Karl finally confirmed that he and Jasmine are expecting their first child together.
During an interview on The Kyle And Jackie O Show alongside Today co-host Allison Langdon, the affable journalist said he and his shoe designer wife are over the moon to be starting a family together. She’s said to be 20 weeks along.
“Karl, you guys are expecting a baby, aren’t you? You and Jas?” Jackie “O” Henderson asked. “Yeah. Very pumped! Very pumped,” an elated Karl responded.
During the same interview, Karl couldn’t wipe the smile off his face while gloating about his “glowing” wife, before admitting he’s glad the controversy surrounding their marriage and all the drama that followed has eventually subsided. While he didn’t go into specifics, it’s possible he was alluding to the backlash he copped when he moved on from his ex-wife of 21 years, Cassandra Thorburn, so soon after they officially separated.
“She’s going really great, she’s terrific,” he said of Jasmine. “She’s glowing and we are happy, very happy. We are glad some of the heat had died down from the whole thing and we can finally lead a normal life as we did before.”
