Lawrence has reportedly given birth to her first baby at an L.A. County Hospital, according to TMZ.
The publication says the couple recently welcomed their baby, with no further information available in regards to the gender or name.
The 31-year-old actress and her 37-year-old art dealer husband tied the knot in a private ceremony on Rhode Island in October, 2019.
A rep for Lawrence announced that she was expecting her first child in a statement in September, 2021.
After confirming she was expecting her first child, Lawrence debuted her baby bump on the red carpet during the Don’t Look Up press tour – saying it was an “out of body experience.”
“I’m like not here, if that makes sense. I’m not processing it,” she told E! News.
While Lawrence was happy to share her baby joy by answering a handful of questions about motherhood on the press tour for Don’t Look Up, the actress has already confirmed she will be raising her child away from the public eye.
“Every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can. I don’t want anyone to feel welcome into their existence,” the actress told Vanity Fair in a recent interview.
“And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.”
It’s no surprise Lawrence will be keeping her child out of the spotlight, with the Academy Award-winning star retreating from the public in recent years.
“The attention on me was so high and extreme that, in a bizarre way, the set had become a great escape. Eventually I had to ask myself, Am I saying yes because I want to go to work the next day? Or am I doing this because I want to make this movie?” the actress told Vanity Fair.
“I didn’t have a life. I thought I should go get one.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
