Jennifer Love Hewitt joins the cast of 9-1-1 for season 2

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jennifer Love Hewitt has joined the cast of 9-1-1 as a regular character for season 2 of the show.

The news site reports that Hewitt will play the role of Maddie, a sister of firefighter Evan “Buck” Buckley (Oliver Stark), who is starting her life over as a 9-1-1 operator.

The actress took to Instagram to announce the exciting new role.

“My new tv bro @oliverstarkk! Super excited bro. Let’s do this. @foxupfronts @911onfox@followmewearefamily,” she wrote alongside co-star Oliver Stark.
