The Big Bang Theory is currently in its 11th season, however one of it’s biggest stars Johnny Galecki has revealed that season 12 may very well be the last one for the most most-watched comedy on TV.

While promoting his newest series Living Biblically – which he executive produces – Galecki told reporters at CBS’ Television Critics Association press tour on over the weekend, that The Big Bang theory’s end may be near.

“The only manner in which the cast has discussed wrapping [The Big Bang Theory] has been that we’re all going to be very sad when that day comes,” Galecki said, via TVLine. “But I think at this point, everyone’s very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families.”

Even if BBT does wrap up, fans will still have CBS’  spinoff, Young Sheldon to watch. The comedy, which stars Iain Armitage as young Sheldon Cooper, has officially been renewed for season two.
