Kanye West has reached the part in his spiritual journey where he wants to change his name, but it’s not just a religious move. It’s also political.

During an appearance at the Fast Company Innovation Festival on November 7, Ye addressed the audience by telling them that he was considering changing his legal name to ‘Christian Genius Billionaire’.
Kanye’s journey toward Christianity is something that he has been vocal about for a while now, starting with his Sunday Church services, that got so big they had their own Coachella set.
The rapper’s faith led him to release a whole album dedicated to the cause, titled “Jesus Is King”.
What prompted one third of the new name came from recent complaints that he wasn’t listed as a billionaire by Forbes Magazine, when his shoe company Yeezy has already surpassed that figure.
“I showed them a $890 million receipt, and they still didn’t say ‘billionaire’,” he said. “When people say it’s crass to call yourself a billionaire, I say I might legally change my name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West for a year until y’all understand exactly what it is.”
As for the ‘Genius’ part, its no secret that Kanye has referred to himself as exactly that for a very long time.
However Kanye’s rant had an agenda that wasn’t just about drawing attention to his name change. It was a political move, as the father-of-four announced in the same monologue that he would be running for president in 2024.
The 2020 election is well under way already, Ye has his sights well set on the following election, much to the crowd’s amusement.
“When I run for president in 2024…” he said as the crowd laughed. “What y’all laughing at?” he asked, before continuing his campaign. “When I run for president in 2024, we would have created so many jobs I’m not going to run, I’m going to walk,” he said.
While Kanye has been a close acquaintance to the president of the United States Donald Trump during his term, he might have even more competition when he decides to run for the coveted role in 2024… by Dan Bilzerian.
TMZ caught up with the playboy at the STAPLES centre on Saturday, who said he would run against Kanye.
“Better than Hilary,” he said. “I think he’ll be running against me, we’ll see. Yeah, 2024, I think that will be enough time to get my sh*t done.”
It’s going to be a wild election!
