Karl Stefanovic suffered the ultimate humiliation on Monday night’s This Time Next Year when a Sydney granny quite literally put him in his place.
The former Today host’s embarrassing ordeal began when he invited Marion Baird onto the show to discuss her ambitions to break a 115kg power-lifting record.
WATCH Karl reveals something surprising about wife Jasmine Yarbrough:
When Karl, 45 – who has been seen on numerous occasions over the past few months attempting to get into shape – refused to disclose his exact weight, except to say he weighed under 100kgs, Marion insisted that she could lift him.
And she wasn’t joking!
In a split second, a shocked looking Karl was swept off his feet by the super-strong grandma.
“I never knew being lifted could hurt so much!” the Nine star grumbled, to which a cheeky Marion replied: “Oh, you weak sook!”

While the shock footage was shot one year ago, Marion made an appearance once again to reveal she had indeed broken the world record.
‘I certainly did [beak the record]. And then I did more. [I lifted] 120kg. It makes Karl a lightweight!’ she explained.
Karl’s awkward TV moment comes after he made a surprise return to the Today show earlier this month to brag about career after being unceremoniously dumped from the Nine network morning show last year.
