The Aussie star and her family have been living in lockdown in their adopted city of Bologna – the family moved to Italy last year for a ‘gap year’ – and have been subject to the country’s strict lockdown laws since it was hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Peter, my husband actually got stopped by the police on his bicycle three weeks ago at 7am on a Sunday,” Langbroek told Triple M Sydney’s Moonman in the Morning.

They’d changed the rules the night before, it was pretty intense, he’s being sued by the city of Bologna. They said to him ‘Have you got a lawyer?’

“We can’t even walk a dog now. I’ve probably only left the house five times in a month. It’s very difficult.”

However, Langbroek said there have been some positives to being in isolation with her family: “I’m far less filled with maternal rage than I have been before. It’s like the stages of grief. You move into acceptation, then exhaustion, and there’s not point resisting as this is just how it is.”

Furthermore, the radio star says lockdown has strengthened her relationship with her husband.

“We lie in bed like little gumnut babies just clutching each other’s hands until we fall asleep ready to start it all again the next day,” Langbroek told Hughesy & Ed earlier this week.
