One month since splitting with ex boyfriend Jarrod Woodgate, Keira Maguire is trying to pick herself up after weeks of sleepless nights with a little Heartbreak Pizza. In a candid and hilarious new interview with WHO, the Bachelor In Paradise star hits back at Jarrod’s claims that Instagram ruined their relationship, reveals the truth about their time together [hint, he spent more of it with his mum] and gets real about her thoughts on Bachelor Nick Cummins.
WHO: What made you decide to team up with Deliveroo for the Heartbreak Pizza?
Keira: Basically, Deliveroo saw that Jarrod and I had broken up and he had done it over text and they were like a little bit disappointed and were like he probably should have sent you a pizza. Obviously it would have been nice if Jarrod sent me a pizza, but it’s not too late.
WHO: Do you think he will buy one for you? He did reveal that you earn more than him…
Keira: Maybe he wants me to but it for myself [laughs]. He’s like you can afford your own pizza.
WHO: He said that your Instagram obsession ruined your relationship. Do you agree with that?
Keira: It’s a little bit of a cop out to be honest with you but I think that he’s hurting at the moment and fair enough I understand where he’s coming from.
For me he knew what he was getting yourself into. You’re going onto a reality TV show and if you’re going to date someone that does come hand in hand, it’s a part of my brand and it is my business. So if I was focusing on Instagram, that’s my business.
I understand where he’s coming from but it’s a very surface level reason, and there’s a lot of things that went on behind closed doors. There’s nothing that major but obviously we had a lot of communication problems because I had no idea that he even felt like that. That would’ve been nice to know because I would’ve been able to address. We can go back and forth but I have no interest in doing that. I just want him to be happy.

WHO: In your Instagram photos Jarrod seems to be posing for them as well. Did he seem into it at the time?
Keira: For example, we went on a holiday with luxury escapes, and a part of that is we have to create content. It all comes hand in hand. And I don’t think he understood it. He does have a different lifestyle, yes, but at the same time maybe he needs to get into the real world.
He does spend a lot of time with his mum, he spends five days a week with his mum and then saw me on the weekend, so it’s a massive demographic drop. So I can understand where he’s coming from. I think for me I’m not on Instagram that much. I would actually put my phone away when we would hang out and dedicate all my time to him, so I think it’s a little bit of a cop out. But all is forgiven, I don’t really care.
WHO: You still have all your photos up with him. Are you going to delete them anytime soon?
Keira: Definitely not. I obviously didn’t want the breakup to happen. Our relationship was so beautiful, for the first six months we had the best time, but towards the end we just weren’t communicating properly and there was massive communication issues. I’m not just going to cut someone out of my life, I think that’s quite cold. Too many people do that in today’s society. I don’t know how they can be with someone then instantly cut it off. I still wear my ring, not because I’m holding onto anything, but it was a massive part of my life that I enjoyed and it meant a lot to me.
WHO: Do you think you will be able to move on whilst holding onto all of that?
Keira: Yes of course. Instagram is a timeline and yeah you can go back and reflect, and I’ve been doing a lot of that. I’ve had time to process it all and really think about things and I’m not going to sit there and delete it because I enjoyed those moments. I can definitely still move on. And if I do date someone and they’re not happy with the photos then they’re going to have to deal with it because it’s a big part of my life, and a big part of what has got me to where I am today.
WHO: Speaking of moving on, are you already thinking about that? Have you been approached by anyone?
Keira: I think for me I will literally go to a café and the next minute I will literally get someone sliding into my DMs, and it grosses me out a bit. I just don’t know what people’s intentions are and it kind of freaks me out. Like when I’m talking to someone I really have to be careful, it kind of just puts me off the whole dating thing. I just really don’t want to be thinking about what your intentions are, and right now it is probably a little too soon.
We have been broken up for a month and I’ve done all the crying and sleepless nights that you could possibly imagine but I think there’s going to be a point where I have to focus on me.
WHO: Would you do a reality show again like Bachelor In Paradise or The Bachelorette?
Keira: I would never do Bachelor In Paradise again. I think that’s the thing like BIP was an amazing experience, and I love the concept and I met an amazing guy. But I think you can’t do that again. What kind of message is that sending to people. The first time it felt right, but now it doesn’t.
The Bachelorette, that’s a year away. If I’m at that point in my life and it feels good then yeah I will do it.
WHO: Who knows what could happen in a year, you could meet someone new…
Keira: Exactly! I can’t plan anything. I could meet the man of my dreams. That’s what I want, I’m ready for it, I’m 32. I though that’s that what I have and now I have to start again and it’s a little disappointing but what are you going to do?
WHO: Do you want to have kids and get married?
Keira: Of course I do, that’s my ultimate goal in life. Who doesn’t want a beautiful family? That’s a vision for me. And I think that I’m getting closer to it.
WHO: Have you been watching this season of The Bachelor?
Keira: I have been watching it but because I’ve been going through a breakup my energy hasn’t been as focused on it as it would usually be. I don’t like the term ‘win’ and ‘competition’ because it’s not about that, but I think Brittany will end up with them because you can see that they have a really genuine connection. Like when you have a common ground, like they were both born in port Macquarie, people really like that. That’s what people hold onto, something that they can relate to.
WHO: Do you like him as The Bachelor?
Keira: I do, I think that he’s a really honest genuine guy. I mean how many times can you repeat the same quote. But besides all of that, I have so much respect that he was like ‘nope girls I’m not putting up with this shit’. Like to tell Tenille, whether he ends up with her or not, that he’s got her back. That is so admirable and such a sexy thing to me.
I was like yes you can be my boyfriend but I just broke up with someone and you probably have a girlfriend [laughs].
WHO: But what if he is single?
Keira: [Laughs] No, no, no, there better not be a headline. Could you imagine?
You can order a Heartbreak Pizza from Deliveroo now, and it might even be delivered to your door by Keira herself.
