Meet Kim Kardashian. She’s an influencer, she’s an entrepreneur, she’s (nearly) a lawyer and now she’s a… true crime podcast host?
You read that right, Kimmy is breaking into the already saturated world of true crime podcasts with her own called The System.
It’s not a huge leap for Kim who has previously demonstrated her interest in criminal justice reform and is currently studying to become a lawyer.
We first heard rumblings of her podcast plan back in 2020 when she signed a deal with Spotify but she recently shared more details with Interview magazine.
“The first season is about a really crazy case where a guy got the death sentence for a triple homicide that happened in Ohio,” Kim said.
“There are so many twists and turns with how it was handled ― or mishandled ― and we take the listener along for a journey in search of the truth.”

Kim didn’t reveal exactly which case she’ll be covering but it sounds a lot like a case she’s previously shown interest in.
In 2019 she advocated on behalf of Kevin Keith, an inmate on death row in Ohio. Kevin claims he was wrongfully commited of the murder of three people and Kim has adently called for a retrial.
“I heard about Kevin Keith’s case last year & the more I learn about it, the more I believe the world needs to hear what happened to him!” she tweeted at the time.
“He was on death row & came w/in days of execution before the governor of Ohio commuted his sentence to life w/o parole.”
During her chat with Interview she explained that a visit to a women’s correctional facility opened her eyes to the injustice within the current criminal justice system.
“Their stories were all very similar. They all committed a crime for their boyfriend, or for their husband. I mean, I probably did some dumb shit at some point and I was maybe just a few decisions off of being in a similar situation, any of us could be,” she said.
“Once I saw how broken the system is, I couldn’t stop. I have to help as many people as I can. These people are thrown away and put in prison and no one cares. It’s so heartbreaking.”
There’s no word yet on when The System will be released but it’s not like a Kardashian to do literally anything without fanfare so we’re confident we’ll know soon enough.
