Almost two months after welcoming daughter True, her little “angel,” on April 12 amid the trauma of partner Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal, Khloé Kardashian has made a public show of standing by her man, enjoying a date night together at a friend’s birthday party on June 9.

Seemingly putting the past behind her—Thompson reportedly cheated on her with five women while she was Pregnant —the new mum has quietly been supporting her beau of more than a year. “Khloé and Tristan were there together, they were sitting next to each other during dinner and there was no animosity between them,” a source told E! News, of the birthday bash for friend, Savas.

“Everybody looked happy, normal and like they were having a great time.”

The 33-year-old’s decision to put family first is supported by her mother, Kris Jenner. “You just have to be there for your kid and follow their lead,” Jenner told Us Weekly on June 8, adding that NBA star Thompson, 27, was “Great. I’m not in that relationship or in that situation, so I really trust Khloé. She’s so smart, and such a great girl, and she’ll figure it out.”

Forgiveness has long been a part of Kardashian’s makeup. During her troubled marriage to former LA Lakers player Lamar Odom, the reality-TV star worked hard to save the relationship. “I’m a modern girl, but you should put your husband first,” she told WHO.

“I like to think divorce is not an option.” But after dealing with Odom’s drug problems, divorce became the only option. Now Kardashian seems determined to build a happy family environment. “I’m so proud of that kid,” Jenner said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 4. “I get choked up because she’s such a good mum.”
