Kyle Sandilands still has immense hatred for his previous employers 2Day Fm. To the point where he will cut anyone off – even close friends – if they dare to work for the radio station.

Speaking to Hit105’s Stav, Abby and Matt earlier this week, the shock jock confessed that he once cut ties with friend, Sophie Monk for 18 months after she accepted an offer to take over his 2Day FM breakfast slot in 2013.
“Sophie Monk went on that show and then I didn’t speak to her for a year and a half,” the 48-year-old spat.
“I just ignored all her calls and said, ‘You’re dead to me. That’s it.”
In fact, the Kyle and Jackie O host revealed it wasn’t until the former Bachelorette star was fired from 2Day FM that he finally reached out to her again.
“I said, ‘Welcome back! I told you not to do it.’ That’s really what happened!”
Kyle also spoke out about rumours that Karl Stefanovic is set to host the 2Day FM breakfast show.
“Well, he’s not going on the cursed station,” he snapped.
“Who else have you cut off in your lifetime?” Matt asked.
“Mel B, she got cut off for a while as well because she was on there as well,” Kyle admitted, before naming Grant Denyer in the mix.
“And Grant. Grant Denyer, I cut him off and then I employed his cousin to find out all the dirt and then blackmailed him from behind the scenes as well,” he continued, noting that Grant’s breakfast show with Ed Kavalee and Ash London was a “huge failure.”
While Kyle is still clearly bitter about being axed from the show, it looks like it worked out for the best.
Last week it was revealed that the parent company of the 106.5 FM station, Australian Radio Network, has not only extended Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s KIIS FM contracts but upped their salaries exponentially.
According to reports, their staggering deal will see them remain on air until the end of 2020 and earn $7-8 million each per year. That means they will earn more than $39,000 each morning.
