Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse have reportedly split up after two years of dating.
News broke this morning that a source overheard Cole, 26, talking about his break up with Lili, 22, to a friend at a Comic-Con party in San Diego over the weekend.
It was reported that the pair did not spend much time together while at the event, however, they were still friendly enough to have sat next to each other on the panel.
But are they actually broken up?
So far, there has been no official news from Sprouse or Reinhart regarding the news, but the actress did post of series of photos of her and Cole from the weekend to her Instagram Story.
The photos show the pair posing together for a fan photo at Comic-Con, with the text “Help lol” next to Cole’s zoomed-in face.
Are these photos Lili’s way of reassuring her fans that the couple are still together, or is she simply pointing out how awkward it must be for them to pose together now that they have split?
We may never know.
It was at Comic-Con in July 2017 that the couple first confirmed their relationship to the world. Eyewitnesses confirmed to E! News that the actors “could not keep their hands off of one another”.
In fact, Sprouse often used Reinhart as his personal muse in his photography shoots.
“I’ve decided to start uploading some of my more personal photographs on this Instagram,” Sprouse wrote in August on social media.
“If you’ve ever spent a bit of time with me, you’ll know I take my privacy quite seriously, much of that paranoia influenced by my youth. I understand social media will always carry a bit of a curated superficiality, but I have so many sentimental photos that, like a collector, I’ve kept in the original packaging for far too long. I’m hoping some of the photos I’ll be posting from here on out will feel a bit more…honest, as they do to me. Naturally, I’ll still be weaving my commercial and editorial work within this account, but why don’t we break it up a little? Keep up.”
Hopefully, the pair will either confirm or deny the breakup news asap!
