Last week it was confirmed that Prince Charles has contracted coronavirus and is self-isolating at his Scottish residence, Birkhall. However, once the official government lockdown in the United Kingdom is over, it is likely he and his wife, Camilla, will return to their favoured house of residence; Clarence House in London.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall reside in the plush mansion -which was previously home to the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, and the Queen Mother, who lived there until her death in 2002 – when they are undertaking work in the country’s capital.
While the royal residence is also home to Charles’ staff, the main rooms of the house are used for receptions and hosting official visitors to the UK.

Many of Charles and Camilla’s guests are shown into the Morning Room, which boasts a traditional fireplace and surfaces heaving with ornaments, including many of the Queen Mother’s personal items, such as her collection of Royal Anchor Chelsea porcelain, paintings and portraits.

The royal couple gave fans a sneak pee into the hallway of their lavish home after it had been decorated for Christmas.

The Morning Room also has a portrait of the Queen Mother over the door, alongside a 17th-century clock
