The couple proudly announced the birth of their first child, who they named, Charli Zoe Crapp, on Instagram.

“Charli Zoe Crapp born 19th April 1:29am. Lucy done an amazing job… far better than I ever could and it was definitely an experience! My respect for women has risen immensely. Women are truely amazing humans that us men are fortunate to have. Thank you @treasureluce for bringing our daughter to the world 😍❤️ You are the best mum and I couldn’t be more grateful to have you in my life forever! Bring on more 😝#love,” gushed builder Grant.

Meanwhile new mum Lucy shared two sweet pictures captioning them: “Charli Zoe Crapp. Born 19th April 2021 at 1.29am. Feeling so grateful to have such amazing family and friends. Even more grateful for the incredible @grant_crapp who has been my support, my rock, my biggest cheerleader. Couldn’t ask for a more supportive, caring and capable partner. And Charli couldn’t ask for a better daddy 🥰 so much love xx

Grant and Lucy’s relationship started controversially after Grant won Love Island with Tayla Damir in 2018.

Soon after his win, it was revealed that Grant had a girlfriend, Lucy, during his time on the reality show.

The reality couple swiftly broke up because Tayla had trust issues that couldn’t be resolved, so Grant got back together with Lucy, who have remained in a relationship since 2019.

Their daughter’s birth marks the light at the end of the tunnel after the loss of their home during the bushfires in January 2020.

Luckily they found their way to safety, but unfortunately, their Malua Bay home in New South Wales was demolished by the fires.

The Batemans Bay builder, 26, shared the wonderful news twelve months after losing their home to Instagram, with a photo of the couple on the beach.

“BABY CRAPP DUE APRIL so excited to be a dad! She’s going to be soo cute!! I can’t wait to meet her #whatayear,” Bryce captioned the post.

The reality TV star spoke with the publication About Regional to discuss how excited he was to become a father, especially after losing their home.

“I’m very, very excited to be a father for the first time,” Grant said.

“It’s been a dream of mine. I can’t explain how I’m feeling – it’s out of this world.

“After going through the bushfires, having to rebuild our house… to have something so positive come out of 2020 is unreal. We both needed it,” he added.

He also revealed in the interview that he would like to have a bunch of children, but it is ultimately up to his partner Lucy – he also admitted his fear of dirty nappies.

“It’s my baby, I’ll do what I have to do,” he said. “It’s up to Lucy, but I’d love to have four or five! Having our own child, growing together and starting a family together, it’s just a dream.”

Wishing the happy couple the best on their new journey as parents, and Grant will hopefully overcome his fear of nappies in due time.
