With the $50 million Powerball approaching on Thursday June 7, new research has revealed the luckiest numbers drawn, and the ones least likely to be picked.
According to the Tatts Group, the “hot” number for the main barrel (where seven numbers are drawn) is nine, after being drawn four times in the past seven draws.
Other popular numbers are 14, 19, 24, 25 and 31, which have all been drawn during three of the past seven draws.
Numbers that haven’t been picked in the last seven draws are 7, 10, 11, 17, 21, 22 and 28
According to Powerball Spokesperson Matt Hart, one in five Australians will have an entry in Thursday’s $50 million Powerball draw.
“It’s fair to say, everyone wants the chance to win this life-changing prize,” he said.
