There wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Luke Toki was sadly eliminated from Australian Survivor in 2019. There to win the $500,000 for his family, including his daughter Maddie who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, Luke almost made it to the end but was eliminated in the second-last episode.

On Tuesday night, he “finally won” while playing the game of Big Brother and was able to give back to the hospital that’s been so important to his family.

When Luke lost out on Australian Survivor for a second time, fans rallied around the King Of The Jungle – who many believed deserved to have won – and raised upwards of $500,000 for the Toki family via GoFundMe. At the time, the family donated some of the money to charities including the Perth Children’s Hospital.

Now, they can donate a further $110,000 to the charity after Luke took out the top prize on Big Brother VIP.

Mary also shared a heartfelt post with fans following the win, celebrating their victory and the opportunity to give back to the charity.

“Third times a charm and what a legend you are giving back to our very own PCH Foundation and Perth Children’s Hospital,” she wrote.

“Congratulations on winning Luke. I always knew you had it in you. If I wasn’t married to you I would definitely still be a fan.”
