Hayley Vernon’s coming on strong.
WATCH: The moment Hayley tried to get a kiss out of David.
The controversial bride had viewers shook when she tried to get affectionate with her TV husband David Cannon (who, BTW, she was last seen feuding with) at the first dinner party of the season on Married At First Sight.
After deciding she wanted to give their relationship another go, Hayley pulled David away from the group for a chat.
“He’s not what I would usually go for, but he’s a good egg. He’s actually a really good dude,” she said in a piece to camera.
But David wasn’t on the same level – and after she asked him for a kiss (which he obliged), the truck driver found her advances confronting.
“I’m very surprised that she was being so affectionate,” he revealed.
“It made me really uncomfortable because I’m not there now.”
So imagine his discomfort when Hayley tried to put the moves on him – despite his saying no repeatedly.
“Give me a kiss,” she demanded.
“Why are you trying to give me kisses now?” he laughed, looking awkward. “No, no, not tonight, darling, not tonight.”
“You’ve just gotta give me some time.”
But the financial analyst was insistent on maintaining the physical touch, pulling him into a hug, and asking:
“Can you carry me in?”
No was still Dave’s answer, but she wouldn’t drop it.
“Do it, do it. Give it a try give it a try!” she laughed, grabbing at him and seemingly trying to pull him into a kiss.
“Ow, ow! You hurt me,” he told her. “Let’s go back in.”
Speaking to producers, David admitted: “I’m so surprised because of how poor our relationship has been… to come onto me so strongly. What was that about?”
And back at the dinner table, he was eager to show his fellow participants the scratch she’d allegedly left on his face.
“It’s the most affection I’ve received from Hayley since being in this experiment.”
“That woman coming on to me two seconds ago was not the woman I was dealing with… that’s not who I’ve been dealing with! It’s not!” he told buddy Josh Pihlak.
“Who am I dating? Who am I married to?”
Earlier in the evening, David had said Hayley was “deluded” after she refused to acknowledge issues between them.
“Hayley wanted to play happy families,” he told producers.
“She even mentioned the fact I didn’t have my ring on is ’cause it didn’t fit, and that’s not the case at all. It really did show me how deluded Hayley wants to be, she wants to be the perfect couple.
“Things are far from in a good place with us.”
The truck driver famously walked out of the pair’s honeymoon after Hayley allegedly told him his $25-an-hour truck driver’s wage “wouldn’t cut it”.
“This is obviously a really sore point for me,” explained David, who was clearly upset that his hurt feelings weren’t being acknowledged, before he decided to pack his things and move into a separate hotel room.
“Hayley didn’t like that I’ve brought up some real and raw issues,” he continued. “But instead of addressing the issue as adults, she stormed out.”
