Married At First Sight 2020 star, Mikey Pembroke is set have his 15 minutes of stardom when the new series of the Nine dating show starts later this week. But it turns out, the former private school boy once dated someone famous.

The 29-year-old has opened up about his relationship with ex-girlfriend Katie Williams, who starred in the first season of Australian Ninja Warrior.
Speaking to TV Week, Mikey admitted his ex – who is a fitness influencer – was “shocked” to learn he’s set to appear on MAFS.
“She was in shock, she was like, ‘I can’t believe you would go and do this,’” he told the publication.
Mikey blamed the couple’s split on bad timing, explaining that he was in the middle of a career change and “wasn’t happy” with his life at the time.
“I could have dealt with [the break-up] a lot better,” he said.
Last month, unearthed footage revealed that Mikey had once appeared on now axed TV show Deal Or No Deal back in 2013.
Resurfaced footage from the soon-to-be reality star’s Instagram shows Mikey, now 29, greeting host Andrew O’Keefe with a hug before dancing around the stage.
“Flashback Friday to deal or no deal #fail,” he captioned one post, which was uploaded in 2015 but appears to be from an episode in 2013.
On another he added: “After double value cases and a second chance … It was very upsetting 😞😞😞 oh well.”
