No doubt about it – Married At First Sight bride Natasha Spencer is a gorgeous girl.
WATCH: The brunette bombshell spills her beauty secrets!
But a look at the 26-year-old‘s Instagram shows she had a very different look just a few years ago!
The financial analyst says she’s “worked hard” to look the way she does; but she recently admitted that she’s had a little help along the way.
Talking to TV husband Mikey Pembroke about her regular maintenance routine, the brunette bombshell revealed just what a “busy week” looks like in her beauty calendar.
“Botox, fillers, nails, hair, waxing, laser…” she begins, rattling off an incredible to-do list.
“…Facials, massages, fat freezing, solarium – and every night when I go to bed I inject my Melanotan. Teeth bleaching…”
Mikey seems a tad overwhelmed by all the cosmetic procedures that make up Natasha’s beauty regimen.
“That’s a serious list of things that need to get done,” he admits.
“I’m not like that at all…. You can tell she’s a bit high maintenance, and that’s a bit of a concern.”
But let’s just rewind for a second, because we have questions…
WTF are Melanotan injections?
So basically, Melanotan is a brand of injectable synthetic melanin, which usually occurs naturally in the body and is responsible for darkening skin colour.
Users inject the synthetic version under their skin with a needle to stimulate the body’s natural melanin production, causing the pigment cells to produce more colour – and leaving users looking like they’ve spent time in the sun.
And if you think that sounds bad for you, you could be spot on.
According to news.com.au, using the product “can accelerate cancer and have damaging side effects, including nausea, vomiting, bloating, flatulence and back, liver and kidney pain”; and, frighteningly, “potential moles and lesions on the body are at high risk of turning into skins cancers and melanomas.”
So… not recommended.
And what about fat freezing?
Also known as Cool Sculpting, the technical term for fat freezing is ‘cryolipolysis’, and it’s not as terrifying as it sounds.
It’s a non-invasive procedure that uses super-cold temperatures to literally freeze fat cells, breaking them down and killing them off without damaging surrounding tissue.
According to Medical News Today, the practitioner vacuums the skin above fatty tissue into an applicator that cools the fat cells to a temperature that they can’t survive.
It can then take around four to six months for the fat cells to leave the body.
The dental clinic employee was almost unrecognisable when she was spotted out and about earlier this week, seemingly without a stitch of make-up on. And she looked gorgeous!
In the pictures, obtained by New Idea, her brown hair also looks longer and thicker than we’ve seen it on the show – so it looks as though she got those hair extensions she’d been talking about!
We can’t help but wonder if Natasha’s high-maintenance routine had anything to do with her and Mikey’s rumoured split since filming of the show ended, after the groom accidentally let slip that their romance was over.
On February 5, he appeared on Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa and awkwardly revealed that he had no idea where Natasha was – despite the fact they were scheduled to appear on the program together.
“Mate, look, she’s not here at the moment. I don’t know why she couldn’t make it,” Mikey said when asked why his ‘wife’ was a no-show.
