On Wednesday, the official MAFS Instagram account posted a ‘message of love’ asking fans to ‘celebrate, support and encourage’ the couples.

The post stated that comments are moderated and that any offensive content from fans will not be tolerated and followers will be blocked.

However, fans were not convinced by the ‘message of love’ and were quick to point out the hypocrisy.

‘Imagine the MAFS producers thinking they have the moral high ground,’ one viewer commented.

Another wrote: ‘How about not manipulating scenes to make people look bad then? Apparently love rising isn’t as important as ratings.’

A third viewer said the experts and producers ‘need to start displaying some integrity’ of their own before they criticise fans.

Referring to how Ivan Sarakula and Aleks Markovic had been pressured into discussing their sex life at last week’s commitment ceremony, the fan wrote: ‘They have every right not to discuss it if they don’t want to, whether you’re in an experiment or not.

‘They just kept pushing and pushing… that’s bullying in my eyes.’

‘You post this status but you are the ones that should be ashamed by editing footage to make it more interesting and make people look bad for ratings.,’ another said.
