Married At First Sight might be long over, but the drama has certainly followed season 6 star Jessika Power, who’s been forced to address rumours she’s dating recently separated footy star Sam Burgess.

On Tuesday, October 29, The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential alleged that Jess had been “messaging the Rabbitohs star over recent weeks” and had invited him to go along with her to a party held by men’s mag Maxim.
They also claimed that Sam had offered to fly Jess – who lives in Queensland – down to Sydney.
But the fiery blonde took to her Insta stories to clear up any confusion: there is no “her and Sam”.
Explaining what had happened, the 27-year-old said:
“I was contacted by a journalist from Daily Telegraph asking if I wanted to do a summer body photoshoot in Bondi and I agreed. I think it’s fun.”
The journo allegedly didn’t tell the reality star what kind of story would run with the pics, but went on to ask about her connection with football star Sam, despite having “text messages” to prove she didn’t want to speak about the NRL pro.
“There wasn’t a whole bunch to say,” she said. “I understand being in the media, everyone feels the need to know everything about my life… There are some things I’m allowed to keep to myself.”
“I kept saying to her, ‘Why are you asking about Sam for?’ and ‘What’s it got to do with me?'”
“Things saying that Sam offered to fly me from Brisbane to Sydney are completely false,” Jess confirmed.
“I actually didn’t really say anything on the record about Sam and I. So a lot of things that have been written in that article… I’m like well, where’s your quote for that?” Power fumed.
“I think it’s kind of sh*tty.”
While the blonde bombshell was quick to explains that some of the statements in the article had truth to them – for example, how she was portrayed on MAFS – she was adamant that she and Sam are definitely not a thing.
“No Sam and I are not dating. Let’s all move on from that topic.”
The rumours began a few days ago, after the Daily Mail reported that Sam had been sending ‘flirty’ text messages to the Married At First Sight star, following his split from wife Phoebe Burgess.
The online publication claimed that the 30-year-old had been chatting to the blonde reality-TV star on Instagram, and that a source revealed the NRL star had been ‘bragging’ to mates and had tried to ‘line up a date’.
On October 27, photos and videos of Sam partying on a yacht in Mexico were leaked.
In the images, Sam was seen celebrating the 50th birthday of NRL star Sean Garlick with his brother and fellow rugby player, Luke Burgess.
Sam has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons lately, after being charged with intimidation following an altercation with his estranged wife Phoebe’s father, Mitchell Hooke.
On the same day he announced his retirement from NRL, The Daily Telegraph revealed the AVO was upheld against the 30-year-old Rabbitohs forward.
Sam was issued with a temporary apprehended violence order on Saturday, October 19, after a clash with Mitchell in Bowral, with a court listing at Moss Vale on November 9, according to public records.
Sam is thought to have been visiting his children, two-year-old Poppy and 10-month-old Billy, who are believed to have relocated to Bowral with their mother Phoebe after their split.
Mitchell reportedly asked Sam to leave the family’s three hectare Glenquarry farm – which Burgess did – but police were called about 5pm.
