It’s time to close the chapter that is Married At First Sight .
Before we watch the reunion – which by all accounts will descend into a frenzy – Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant are dishing all the goss that have from the show.
WHO caught up with the two and were invited into their luxurious Double Bay home – where they opened up about everything!
Jules, is it true Heidi and Melissa are your bridesmaids?
J: I’ve only just been proposed to, so I haven’t made any plans. I’ve got two girlfriends coming from THE UK for it.
Cam, have you chosen your groomsmen?
C: I’ll have my best friend who was on the show.
How’s the response been to your engagement?
J: Yeah no it’s been beautiful, just had a moment in the car before. catching up on lovely messages
No wedding date, spring/summer? Location?
J: This year 100% that’s guaranteed.
C: We haven’t really discussed it. It would be outdoor wedding, we can find the right place for it whether it be Sydney or abroad.
Are you surprised people are concerned about your ring?
J: I actually don’t know why there is such a big focus on the ring. Actually, it should be about the beautiful moment of Cam proposing to me. You know what, this is my ring and the actual symbol of the ring is more important, not about the price.
Is it a diamond?
J: I don’t know I didn’t buy it! SO, I wouldn’t have a clue about actually it’s not about how much the ring costs.

MAFS CONFESSIONAL TIME
Anything you’d like to spill?
J: I feel like the public can see through what’s what. Like what’s real and what’s not.
Even with our wedding, everyone’s like “Oh the rings, it’s taken from one hand to the next. It’s all edited!” And it’s like yeah because they took it off from the wedding finger to put one on, but then it looks fake. I think the public can generally see through who’s genuine and who’s not. Like that’s a really beautiful moment and it’s been broken down into every second to be judged. I get that, that’s your right as a public viewer – I just think just trust in your instincts who’s genuine and who’s not.
Advice for anyone who wants to try MAFS
J: I’m a really firm believer that we got matched really well based on how we applied for it. We were honest about ourselves and I think if you were to come on the show, that’s got to be the formula to have a chance to be matched well.
Because you know they’re not here to make you fail, they’re here to help you, so that would be my advice to anybody who would be going on MAFS.
Thoughts on Sam hooking up with Martha
C: That was about drumming thing up for the show, it was back around Christmas.
J:That’s a complete and utter rumour, that’s not true.
Ning and Mark at the reunion… Was it awkward?
J: No more awkward than usual. Ning and mark were civil they’re adults. There were no harsh words.
C: Nothing changed in terms of Ning grabbing a plate of food and walking around [laughs]. No, I think she was doing ok by that stage, she’d sort of healed. But yeah it was still a sort of shock to us all. Bummed in a way I guess.
Did Nic and Jessika hook-up?
C: There was something certainly engaged throughout… paying extra attention. I don’t know, I think Nic and Jessika used you have a bit of banter together
J: I definitely never witnessed anything myself that’s for sure. We knew about them. When we left, he told Cam and I about that. And we didn’t tell anyone about it just because Nick had made up his mind and also that was a bit of us trying to look after Jess because she was just running a riot. So, we just thought it was best to keep it to ourselves. I mean it still doesn’t really add up why Nic didn’t want to tell anyone and you know cared so much about even saying yes, she did that. You haven’t done anything wrong Nic, why be so, I guess so cautious. He just didn’t want anyone to know. It’s like well if you have nothing to hide you haven’t done anything wrong. It’s all a bit strange to this day.
Heidi… do you think Mike wasn’t the right guy for her?
J: My opinion is – Heidi is obviously a very good friend of mine, they just – their love languages are just totally different. Their communication just doesn’t work for them. She deserves someone that makes her feel like the amazing woman that she is.
Is Martha an instigator when it came to Jess?
J: I think Jess has got her own brain and she can decide what she wants to do for herself, I think she – people are saying Martha is an enabler and kind of not really being a good friend, do you know what you stick to who you’re similar to. You are who you hang around with.
