After learning that Australia will be getting more Married at First Sight thanks to their spin-off Married At First Sight Honeymoon Island – we now have our first contestant!
And he pretty much confirmed it is a go!
“Yeah I got sent a thing last night,” Ryan said on the show.
“I haven’t been actually formally asked.”
While fans are already completely on board, Ryan isn’t too keen.
“I think it’s a load of crap to be honest with you,” he said.
“I don’t think it’s going to happen. No one wants to see us with our shirts off. We’re not Love Island people.”
In a similar format to Bachelor In Paradise, the show will see former contestants brought onto a tropical island, loaded with booze. What else could we want?
Sources close to the project have said that “early discussions have started”. It is set to follow the US format that already exists.
‘Honeymoon Islanders’ so they’re named are coupled up and have to make the decision if they want to get married, or leave the island single once their time is up.
“Everyone’s messaging everyone to try and see if they’ve heard anything or know anyone that’s been formally approached by Nine,” a source revealed to Daily Mail Australia.
We’re forecasting Cyclone Cyrell as the top island contender!
Other names that have been thrown in the ring include Ines Basic, Dino Hira, and last season’s Tracey Jewel.
